Description
Power is provided by a replacement 427ci V8 with modifications that include an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold and cylinder heads, a Comp Cams camshaft, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an MSD electronic ignition, and more. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement Ford Toploader four-speed manual transmission. Other modifications include a front disc-brake conversion and suspension upgrades. The exterior is finished in Tucson Yellow (R), and the inner front fenders have been powdercoated satin black. Wheel Vintique 15â?³ steel wheels are color-coded to the body and fitted with chrome hubcaps and staggered-width BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 235/70 up front and 255/70 at the rear. The front suspension has been upgraded with heavy-duty components that include coil springs, Motorcraft shocks, and a 1â?³ sway bar, while the rear is equipped with six-leaf springs, extra-heavy-duty Motorcraft shocks, and a ¾â? sway bar. A front disc-brake conversion features 11¼â? rotors with Ford Kelsey-Hayes four-piston calipers. Bucket seats from a â??63 Galaxie 500XL were reportedly rebuilt and upholstered in black vinyl with matching carpets and chrome-look accents on the dash, door panels, and the glovebox door, which is signed by Dan Gurney. The heater fan and box have been removed, but the controls are intact, as are the factory push-button AM radio and clock. A heater-delete plate has been fitted to the firewall, and the fan and box are included in the sale.
