Description
A cosmetic refresh was performed during the early 2000s and included a bare-metal repaint as well as a new headliner, carpets, and seats. The 4. 2L twin-cam six was rebuilt about six years ago and is paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox. Originally delivered in Primrose Yellow, the car received a repaint in black about 12 years ago. All exterior chrome is either new or replated, including the wire wheels, bumpers, door handles, motif bar, and all trim. About a year after the repaint, the interior was refurbished with recovered seats and replacement carpets and headliner. The dashboard is reported to be in good order, with all trim and switchgear present. Instrumentation, lighting, and electrics are noted to be in good shape, including the original AM/FM/SW radio. The odometer shows 76k miles and is believed to be accurate. The 4. The engine was rebuilt in 2011 by British Auto Works of North Plains, Oregon, including the addition of a high capacity cooling system and a new clutch. The car has been driven 1,000 miles since the rebuild was completed. Recent work includes replacing the exhaust manifolds, rubber fender seals, and fluid bottles. The original components are available to return the car to stock. Additional undercarriage photos are shown in the gallery. The Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate can be seen above confirming the original colors and build date. This XKE won â??Best Jaguar in Show,â? a peopleâ??s choice award, at the August 2016 All British Field Meet in Portland, Oregon. Filed under: e type, e-type
