1965 Ford Mustang Coupe K-Code 4-Speed

This car was completed on February 16, 1965 in San Jose, California and is finished in Raven Black paint over Black Crinkle Vinyl upholstery. This K-Code displays an older restoration, Carlite etched side/rear glass, and factory steel wheels. In these pictures, the Raven Black paint carries a consistent shine over good panel gaps and straight body work. The chrome bumpers and exterior brightwork appear clean, while 14� steel wheels are wrapped in Firestone Indy 500 tires at all four corners. Behind the wheels are modern Baer brake calipers clamping down on drilled/slotted rotors up front, though the rear axle retains its factory drum system. The luggage compartment contains a proper matching liner, spare tire cover, and jack bag with emergency accessories. The redline spare tire is dated 1982. Inside, this car was fitted with bucket seats and the Rally Pac gauge cluster along with its original Ford radio and seat belts. Overall, the cabin appears correct with clean carpets, door panels, and factory trim. The original 289ci HiPo V8 is equipped with a four-barrel Autolite 4100 carburetor and linked to a 4-speed manual transmission. The engine features solid valve lifters and a 10. 5:1 compression ratio, which helped raise power to 271 horsepower at 6,000 rpm in stock form. Compression is strong and consistent across the board, reading 165, 180, 170, 170, 160, 170, 162, 170 psi respectively, with a picture of each reading also shown in the gallery. An Edlebrock Performer intake manifold was installed in 2012, while long tube headers and a dual Flowmaster exhaust system round out the performance modifications.
