Description
This 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SL is finished in Signal Red over a black vinyl interior and powered by a 2. 8L inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a matching hard top, black soft top, Frigiking air conditioning, and a Becker Mexico stereo. The car spent time in California before being brought in 2002 to Canada, where it has reportedly remained as part of a collection and has not been registered. A matching hard top is included in the sale, and equipment includes a manually-retractable black soft top with a plastic rear window, chrome bumpers, and a fender-mounted antenna. Factory 14” steel wheels wear single-piece body-color covers and are wrapped in Dunlop SP40 A/S tires. Four-wheel disc brakes came standard on the 280SL. The interior is upholstered in black vinyl with matching door panels, salt-and-pepper carpeting, and a body-colored steel dash. Amenities include wood trim, an under-dash Frigiking air conditioning system, a Becker Mexico stereo, and a center console. Factory instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer, and fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature gauges.
