Description
This 1962 International Harvester Scout 80 is finished in red over a tan interior and powered by a 152ci inline-four paired with a three-speed manual gearbox and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes a tan removable hardtop with a roof basket, polished 16? aftermarket wheels, custom bumpers, a four-point roll bar, a rear bench seat, and a push-button radio. Features include black-finished custom front and rear bumpers, a Hi-Lift Jack mounted on the front bumper, chrome side mirrors, a fold-down windshield, and raised white lettering on the tailgate. Additional work included replacing the dampers with Bilstein units. The interior features body-matching sheetmetal finishes and front and rear bench seats trimmed in beige upholstery complemented by a matching dashboard and a four-point roll bar. The truck also has front and rear lap belts, a heater, a glove compartment, black rubber floor coverings, and a push-button AM radio. A black four-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation that includes an 80-mph speedometer and combination gauges measuring coolant temperature and fuel level. The 152ci Comanche inline-four is fed by a single carburetor with an aftermarket air cleaner and was factory rated to make 93 horsepower and 135 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. An exhaust heat shield has been added on the passenger side of the vehicle.
