1962 Jaguar XKE Coupe Race Car Project

8-liter inline-six paired with a later rebuilt four-speed synchromesh manual transmission and a limited-slip rear differential. Additional equipment includes a fiberglass bonnet, D-Type-style taillights, a welded roll cage, four-wheel disc brakes, a later XJ6 ported cylinder head, Isky camshafts, and three replacement Weber 45 DCOE carburetors. A vented rear hatch and D-Type-style taillights have also been added. The removed side and rear glass will accompany the car. 15? steel wheels are wrapped in 195/65 Michelin MX4 tires. The interior has been fitted with a welded roll cage and lacks carpets, door panels, and seats. A replacement 3. 8-liter DOHC inline-six was machined by Ober’s Performance Automotive Machine Shop in Lititz, Pennsylvania, in 2016 and assembled by Lippincott’s Garage reportedly using Carrillo rods, Arias pistons, ARP bolts, an ATI harmonic damper, and custom baffles in the oil pan.
