1991 Land Rover Defender 90 Turbodiesel

After being built at the Land Rover factory in Solihull, England, the vehicle spent the majority of its life on the island of Sardinia in Italy. The work included a bare-metal repaint, leather upholstery, new doors and hardware, a new windscreen, timing belt, water pump, brakes, springs, shocks, exhaust, black steel wheels, new tires, and more. Power comes from a 2. 5L inline-four 200Tdi turbodiesel engine paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Alpine White bare-metal repaint from 2015. New doors were installed with new seals, aluminum hinges, stainless steel hardware, door handles, and gaskets. The windscreen, surrounding rubber, and rear sliding windows were also replaced. Side steps, a new front bumper, NAS rear step, and powder-coated spare tire carrier were installed. Custom rear lighting has clear lenses. Leather upholstery replaces the stock gray fabric and presents well with a matching center armrest/console. Inward-facing rear jump seats wear matching leather covers and are fit with new seatbelts. The rear compartment is clean and a rubber covering protects the floor. Plastic door-cards have also been replaced. The dash is in nice unrestored condition with no cracks visible. The four-spoke Land Rover steering wheel shows some wear consistent with age and is equipped with a new ignition lock unit. The original odometer stopped at 300k kilometers (~187k miles), and a new MPH speedometer unit was installed. It currently displays 5500 miles, and the factory unit comes with the sale. In addition to the timing belt, water pump, and lift pump, the 2. 5L inline-four 200Tdi turbodiesel engine had the alternator and viscous unit replaced and an air con-style front radiator grill was fitted. The most recent service was an oil and filter change 3 months ago. A spare solenoid is included in the sale. The undercarriage received an anti-rock chip paint process during its refurbishment. New springs, shocks, brakes, and exhaust were also installed. A BMIHT certificate indicates that Alpine White is the original paint color and the truck was shipped to Italy following its build in November 1990.
