Description

The mechanically fuel-injected 2. 3L inline-six is believed original and transmits power rearward through a 4-speed manual transmission. Approximately 150 miles have been covered since, during which time new brake hoses and a fresh set of Kumho radials were fitted. The body wears an older driver-quality repaint in the original White Grey color. Some rust bubbles are present on the left rear fender and passenger-side rocker panel. The hardtop shows to be well preserved with complete trim and clear glass. The 5-bulb Bosch headlights equipped on European market cars have been retained, as have chrome bumpers devoid of over riders. Matching steel wheels retain their two-piece covers and were recently refinished and fitted with new Kumho radials. The brown soft top is pictured in the gallery and has reportedly been recovered. Trimmed in Green MB-Tex with matching carpets, the interior is believed remain largely original. Some discoloration and wear are evident on the seats, though the wood trim appears to be intact with limited distortion. The metric instruments were retained when the car was imported. 99k kilometers (~62k miles) are shown on the odometer, which is believed to be accurate. A later Alpine stereo has been installed in the dash, and the door panels have been fitted with aftermarket speakers. The factory service booklet shows that scheduled maintenance was performed by the Auto Baan Center in Rotterdam until 45k kilometers (~28k miles). Services were then performed at the dealership AGAM M-B in Apeldoorn. The car was imported to the US in 1985, and records indicate that it was serviced by an independent shop in August of that year at 80k kilometers (~50k miles). The M127. II fuel-injected inline-six is believed to be original and remains unrestored. It is backed by a 4-speed manual gearbox that recently received new shifter bushings. The ID tag located on the driver-side fender is pictured above and verifies the original color. It reads as follows:158 H113042 10 56 00436 02315New brake hoses have been installed along with new parking brake cables. Filed under: pagoda, sl, w113
