Description
5-liter V6. Repainted in black, the car is further equipped with a five-speed manual transaxle, a front lip spoiler, and 16 Monza alloy wheels as well as Koni shocks, a wood-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob, a cassette stereo, and air conditioning. Introduced to the North American market in 1981, the GTV6 was derived from the Alfetta coupe designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro. Exterior equipment includes replacement quad headlights, a front lip spoiler, dual side mirrors, and a heated rear window. The independent double-wishbone front and de Dion tube rear suspension was fitted with Koni shocks, and the front end was overhauled with replacement tie rods, ball joints, and bushings. The brake calipers were rebuilt, the fronts were gold power-coated, and the rotors were replaced along with the pads and lines. The front bucket seats and two-place rear bench have been reupholstered in black leather, and the dashboard was re-covered to match. The headliner and door trim have been replaced along with the AM/FM/cassette stereo, speakers, and grilles, and the cabin is further appointed with power windows, air conditioning, and Alfa Romeo-logo carpeted floor mats. The wood-rim steering wheel and matching shift knob have been refurbished, and the former fronts Veglia Borletti instrumentation including a 150-mph speedometer, a 7,500-rpm tachometer, and an analog clock, while gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are housed in the center of the dashboard.
