Description

He notes that it was originally from the Bend area and has always remained in Oregon. The build was performed about 12 years ago and also included rechromed 1968 side pillar vents, a 1968 grille, Euro taillight treatment, and refinished bumpers. This 510 retains all of its original bodywork and was repainted about 17 years ago. The trim has been backdated with a 1968 grille and rechromed 1968 metal side pillar vents. A new windshield was fitted at the time of the repaint and the taillights have European lenses with amber turn signals. Forged 17â?³ Volk Te37 alloy wheels have been installed and wear 215/45 Dunlop Direzza tires. The cabin is a mix of original 510 components and modern performance pieces. The original dash is still fitted with the factory radio, while stock side and door panels are still in place. The rear bench has been reupholstered with stock-style vinyl. Modern performance parts include an Autometer GPS speedometer and tachometer in the stock locations along with additional instrumentation in the custom center console. Fixed-back Recaro SPG XL seats replace the stock front seats, and the Vintage Air heater is controlled in the stock location on a custom panel. NOS sill plates were sourced and installed. An interior tour video can be viewed here. The hydraulic hand brake is mounted in the stock location and is flanked closely by a brake balance adjuster. The 2k indicated miles are not believed accurate, and true mileage is unknown. The SR20DET comes from an S15 Nissan Silvia and was rated at 250 horsepower from the factory. The turbocharged DOHC inline-four is backed by the Silviaâ??s 6-speed manual gearbox and a Subaru WRX STI R-180 limited-slip differential in the place of the original rear end. A few minor oil leaks are noted. A video walkaround of the engine bay is attached above, and another video including a cold-start can be found here. A short drive-by video has also been provided, and can be viewed here. The included dyno sheet can be seen in the gallery and shows that the car produces 245 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels. The installation required substantial custom work, as the Garrett T28 turbocharger sits right where the steering box is fitted in a left hand drive 510. The battery has been relocated to the trunk as shown in the photo gallery.
