Description
It was then driven approximately 3,400 miles before being shipped from Genoa, Italy to Hoffman Motors Corp. in New York City in November 1961. Finished in red over a two-tone red and white interior, the car is powered by a twin-cam 1,290cc inline-four mated to a four-speed manual gearbox. The Bertone bodywork is finished in red and retains the factory trim and brightwork along with pop-out rear quarter windows. The front suspension features control arms with coaxial coil springs and hydraulic dampers, with the rear being a solid axle on coil springs and hydraulic dampers. Braking is managed by four-wheel hydraulic drums. A vintage Pirelli spare tire is stored in the trunk and pictured in the gallery. The interior is finished in two-tone red and white vinyl with matching rear seats and door cards. Wear is shown on the red carpets in the front footwells. A two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Veglia instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer.
