Description
This 1966 Jaguar XKE Series I coupe is powered by a 4. 2-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential and is finished in Carmen Red over black leather. The car is equipped with enclosed headlights, 15 wire-spoke steel wheels, power-assisted disc brakes, triple windshield wipers, an AM/FM radio, and a heater. The Series I E-Types were equipped with covered headlights and taillights mounted above the chrome rear bumpers. The 15 wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with Michelin X tires measuring 185R15. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The brake master cylinder was replaced in 2023. The cabin features bucket seats that have been reupholstered in black leather along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Interior appointments include black vinyl dash trim, a sliding rearview mirror, an AM/FM radio, and a heater. The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located in the center of the dashboard.
