Description
Powered by a 600cc inline-four paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox, the car was originally sold in Germany before being exported to Shoreham, Vermont, where it was put into storage after an engine failure. The exterior repaint is noted to be period-correct, though not in the original color. In addition to the powder coated chassis, a replacement soft top, new shocks, door seals, and weather stripping were fitted. The body/chassis restoration was completed in 2011. A custom factory-style exhaust system was built and shipped from Australia with correct dual exits as shown above. New brakes were fitted, and powder coated factory wheels are wrapped in Kumho Solus KR21 tires at all four corners. Inside, the seats were found to be in solid condition with good seat foam. New door panels, OEM-style carpeting produced in Europe, and a new parcel tray were fitted along with a factory wood steering wheel. The dashboard is noted to be in solid shape, and all factory trim appears to be accounted for. The 600cc inline-four is believed original and paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox. Interested parties are encouraged to browse through all mechanical work performed. The engine and body were reunited in 2014, and a restoration shop in Erie completed all major work in 2015. The intricate exhaust system is highlighted above.
