Description
This 1970 Datsun 510 two-door sedan was previously converted to a race car and campaigned in SCCA competitions until approximately 2001. The car was repainted purple and fitted with steel wheel arch extensions and FutoFab bumpers, while the interior houses a half roll cage, microsuede and cloth Recaro sport seats, Speedhut gauges, a touchscreen stereo, and a Sparco steering wheel. Additional equipment includes 15â?³ SSR wheels, Troy Ermish coilovers, heim-jointed control arms, electric power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and a Lokar emergency brake system. The car was repainted in a Geo shade of Twilight Purple during the refurbishment and was refinished again in March 2024. Metal fender flares from a Volkswagen Rabbit were added, along with FutoFab chrome bumpers, Hella H4 headlights, a replacement windshield, Euro-style taillights and front turn signal lenses, and a JDM-style taillight garnish. The 15â?³ SSR mesh wheels are mounted with Bridgestone RE71R tires measuring 205/50. Braking is handled by 280ZX four-wheel discs utilizing slotted Powerslot rotors, a Wilwood master cylinder, and a Lokar emergency brake system. Troy Ermish Stage 2 coiliovers have been installed along with heim-jointed control arms, a DGR 1â?³ front sway bar, and a Silver Mine Motors electric power steering system using a James Boswell Coachwerks rack and pinion conversion crossmember. The interior was fitted with a body-color half roll cage and Recaro LXB front sport seats trimmed in microsuede with confetti-pattern cloth inserts. The dash pad was re-trimmed in matching microsuede, and replacement carpets and door panels were also installed.
