Description
This 1987 Porsche 930 Turbo was sold new by Niello Porsche in Sacramento and has remained in northern California itâ??s entire life. Still wearing itâ??s original blue license plates, it is described as being in excellent condition by the seller and second owner, who recently had a major service by Porsche specialist Tony Heyer who has serviced the car for nearly all its life. The car features all original paint apart from the rear bumper, dealer-installed two-piece BBS wheels, and comprehensive paperwork and service history from new. We have seen the car in person and both interior and exterior cosmetics are very impressive. It has 89,673 documented miles from new.Black paint remains in very good condition and is reported to be original except for the rear bumper and lower valence, which were repainted in 1992 after being scratched by a hotel valet. An invoice from the Palo Alto-based body shop and an apology letter from the hotel are included, and the seller is confident that the rest of the car remains original, as evidenced by even paint, factory panels with excellent fit, and no other repair records from new.The original window sticker shows the car was delivered new with partial leather interior, electric sliding roof, limited slip differential, and gravel protection. A Niello dealer addendum to the window sticker lists a number of dealer-installed accessories, including the BBS wheels, a NEC cellular phone (since removed), Hoffco remote alarm system, floor mats, and a healthy $3995 dealer markup. The original interior is very well-preserved with excellent dash, door panels, and center console. The bolstered front seats show little wear for 89,xxx miles, and the seller notes that the original owner fitted sheepskin seat covers from new until two years ago which kept the leather in great condition. Even the outer driver bolster is near perfect. We like the contrasting black carpets and â??Turboâ? script on the rear seat back. A Kenwood CD player is the only departure from stock, and all gauges, switches and electrics are fully functional. The A/C blows cold with an intermittent low hum that the seller notes is a very mild annoyance.Full documentation and service records from new accompany the car, and the seller invites interested parties to spend an afternoon inspecting the car and combing through the maintenance binder seen in the photo gallery. At that time he confirmed healthy compression in all cylinders, each registering 125 psi.A set of black 7â?³/8â?³ Fuchs are available separately from the seller should the new owner prefer the stock look.Filed under: 911 turbo, 930, 930 turbo
