Description
A subsequent father/son refurbishment completed in 2010 is reported to have included bodywork, a repaint in red, and a rebuild of its numbers-matching R-code 428ci Cobra Jet V8. Additional equipment includes a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, air conditioning, a roll bar, a Sport Deck rear seat, and an AM/FM radio as well as modifications such as a Police Interceptor intake, an aftermarket camshaft, slotted front brake rotors, and more. Shelby wheels wear Cobra center caps and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. New 1 front lowering springs, front spindles, and Boss 302 rear springs were installed. Power-assisted steering and front disc brakes were factory options, and slotted rotors have been added. The interior features high-back front seats with white Clarion knit and Corinthian vinyl upholstery as well as a matching fold-down Sport Deck rear seat. Shoulder harnesses are mounted to the factory roll bar. Additional features include a replacement period Philco AM/FM radio as well as an air conditioner, though the latter does not blow cold. The numbers-matching 428ci Cobra Jet V8 was reportedly serviced by Active Engines in Mississauga, Ontario during the refurbishment. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a factory-correct three-speed automatic transmission fitted with a stall converter and shift kit.
