1957 Chevrolet Corvette 283/283 Fuelie 3-Speed

Finished in Onyx Black with Inca Silver coves and red upholstery, the car features a Positraction rear end, an auxiliary hardtop, and the car is not equipped with a soft top, heater, or radio. The tires were replaced in 2018, and work in 2019 included rebuilding the fuel-injection system. Additional details include a wraparound windshield, front and rear bumperettes, “Fuel Injection” badging, and dual exhaust pipes exiting out the rear bumpers. Black-painted 15? steel wheels wear factory hubcaps with spinners and BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires that were purchased in 2018. A matching spare wheel and tire combination is stored within the trunk. The interior features seats upholstered in red vinyl with waffle pattern inserts as well as a color-keyed dashboard, carpeting, and door panels. The inspection report notes that the clock was converted to Quartz movement. Factory instrumentation includes a sweeping 140-mph speedometer along with a centrally oriented 6k-rpm tachometer flanked by an ammeter and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer was reportedly reset during the refurbishment and currently shows 35 miles, with total mileage unknown. Featuring Rochester Ramjet mechanical fuel injection, the 283ci V8 was rated by Chevrolet at 283 horsepower when new.
