Description
The replacement 455ci V8 was fitted with a high-performance camshaft and exhaust system, and bodywork was performed before a repaint in black with replacement glass. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle with 3. 55:1 gears, and the car rides on Hotchkiss and Hellwig suspension components. The cabin was re-trimmed in black and red leather and fitted with air conditioning and power windows. Bodywork was performed before the car was refinished in black during the refurbishment, at which point the glass was replaced and the bumpers were re-chromed. Details include GS and Stage 1 badging, red rocker panel accents, dual hood scoops, and chrome bumpers. The car rides on an overhauled suspension with Hotchkis and Hellwig components along with 15â?³ Rallye wheels that wear Dunlop G/T Qualifier tires. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood four-wheel discs. Sound-deadening material was applied beneath the carpets, and the front bucket seats and rear bench were reupholstered in black and red leather during the refurbishment. The shifter was rebuilt and power windows and air conditioning were added.
