Chassis components include a drop tube front axle, rack-and-pinion steering, four-wheel disc brakes, a four-link front end, traction bars, locating links, coilover shocks, and a narrowed 1958 Bonneville rear end, and power is provided by an overbored 428ci HO V8 equipped with Ram Air IV cylinder heads, Super Duty connecting rods, a solid-lifter camshaft, a tunnel ram aluminum intake manifold, and a pair of Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors. Additional features include a Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission, a Hurst shifter, magnesium front wheels, 15â?³ wide aluminum rear wheels, bucket seats, a roll cage, and a Positraction differential. The steel five-window body is finished in Lexus silver with monochromatic Chief Pontiac graphics and beltline pinstripes. It rides on a custom steel tube chassis with tapered front rails and five crossmembers. A shovelnose grille shell with a custom stainless-steel insert was fabricated, the top was chopped 3. 5â?³, and the rear wheel arches were radiused to the tires.
