Description
Power is provided by a fuel-injected 2. 0L flat-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle, and additional equipment includes front fog lights, Euro-style taillights, an Alpine cassette player, and a Bursch exhaust system. After the Porsche 914 was discontinued and before the 924 became available, the 912E was offered for the 1976 model year only as a lower-priced alternative to the 911. Exterior features include front fog lights, Euro taillight lenses, and â??sugar scoopâ? headlight rings. A number of paint imperfections can be seen in the gallery in addition to bubbling along the bottoms of the doors. The 14â?³ Fuchs wheels wear 195/70 Michelin Defender XT tires, and a space-saver spare is stored in the front trunk. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners. Work performed in 2017 included replacing the tie rods, axle boots, and steering shaft bushing. The interior is also equipped with folding rear seats, an Alpine cassette radio, and a heated rear window. A four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation that consists of a centrally mounted tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and oil temperature.
