Power is provided by a replacement 3. 8L S38 inline-six that is paired with a Getrag 280 five-speed manual transmission. The exterior was repainted in 2008 in its factory shade of Diamond Black Metallic (181), with contrasting Granite Silver Metallic (327) on the M5-specific rocker panels, front air dam, and rear valence. The front bumper, hood, and front quarters were again repainted in 2012 to correct stone chipping, and a damage entry for these areas is shown on the Carfax report. Factory features include Shadowline trim, a tow hitch, and a dual power sunroof, the latter of which can be seen in operation here. New lower window door trim is included in the sale. The cabin is trimmed in black Nappa leather (0318), with new upholstery fitted over the front and rear seats in 2008. Factory options include extended leather over the console and door panels, heated front seats, automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, rear sunshades, an alarm system, and rear reading lamps.
