Description
This 1964 Dodge 440 two-door hardtop was built in Windsor, Ontario, for the Canadian market and has been modified with the installation of an overbored 440ci V8 topped by a trio of Holley two-barrel carburetors. The car has a push-button three-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, and modifications include an Edelbrock intake manifold, TTI ceramic exhaust headers, Saginaw power steering, a Pioneer head unit, Center Line 16â?³ wheels, front disc brakes, and an 8¾â? limited-slip differential with 3. 55:1 gearing. The 440 was an independent model for Dodge for 1963 and 1964 only, and it shared its 119â?³ wheelbase with the contemporary 330 and the Polara, both for the United States and Canada markets. Features include chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, dual exhaust outlets, bright trim, and reverse lights. A blister in the paint on the right-rear quarter panel was reportedly sealed and repainted prior to the sale. Bright-finished Center Line 16â?³ wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich and Ironman tires. The car is equipped with a Saginaw power-steering pump and steering sector. Front disc brakes have been adapted, and that power-assisted system utilizes drum brakes at the rear wheels. The wheel cylinders, emergency-brake cables, shock absorbers, and rubber suspension components have been replaced.
