Description
Power is provided by a 428ci Cobra Jet V8 mated to a C6 three-speed automatic transmission and a 3. 25:1 rear end, and it was recently refinished in its factory Wimbledon White over black upholstery. Featuring bodywork modified to make them more aerodynamic than other Torino Cobra SportsRoof models, the Torino Talladega feature a flush-mounted grille, a modified front bumper, a sloped nose, lengthened bodywork that extended the front of the car approximately five inches, and reshaped to allow Ford to lower the ride height of its racing cars while staying within NASCAR regulation. Additional features include a black-finished hood, color-keyed mirror caps, and dual exhaust exits. Chrome-finished 14? styled steel wheels with hubcaps are wrapped in BFGoodrich tires. The seats are trimmed in replacement black vinyl with cloth inserts, while the matching dashboard and door panels are accented by bright trim. Equipment includes a Philco AM radio with rear-seat speakers, adjustable front headrests, and lap belts all around. Talladega badges are affixed to the door panels, and a Super Pro tachometer and accessory gauges are fitted at the bottom of the dashboard. Total mileage is unknown. The 428ci Cobra Jet V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and an oil cooler, and it produced a factory-rated 335 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque when new.
