1998 Dodge Viper GTS GT2 Championship Edition

This 1998 Dodge Viper is one of 100 in the GT2 Championship Edition, which was built during a single model year to commemorate Chryslerâ??s winning of the 1997 FIA GT2 championship and a class victory in the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans. Power is provided by an 8. 0-liter V10 mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in white with blue racing stripes over a black and blue interior. Service in 2019 included replacement of the spark plugs and wires, the PCV and idle control valves, a vacuum lines, and the battery along with a fuel tank cleaning and more. The car is finished in Stone White with blue racing stripes and features a GT2-specific front splitter and valance, ground-effect side skirts, a fixed carbon fiber rear wing, and GTS-R badging. The front bumper cover and side skirts were repainted, reportedly due to chips and scratches, and are shown in primer here. XPEL paint protection film has been applied to the front bumper cover, the hood, and both front fenders, while the side and rear windows wear an aftermarket tint. Factory staggered-width 18â?³ BBS wheels were refinished and straightened in May 2019, and are wrapped in BFGoodrich g-Force Rival tires which were installed upon completion. The brake rotors and pads were also replaced by Eurotech Motorsports of Mahwah, New Jersey, who also carried out a brake fluid flush and a four-wheel alignment. The cockpit is upholstered in black leather with blue seat inserts as well as a matching dash and door panels.
