Description
Work included stripping and refinishing the body shell, as well as installing chassis bracing, billet control arms, adjustable coilover shocks, 17â?³ wheels, and Wilwood brakes. Power is from a 427ci V8 that was built by Blood Enterprises about a decade ago and features an aluminum block, aluminum cylinder heads, and a 950CFM carburetor. The engine produced 460 horsepower on the dyno after it was built and is mated to a rebuilt five-speed ZF transaxle equipped with a limited-slip differential. The car was stripped to bare metal in the late-1990s and fitted with a Precision Pro-Formance Chassis Rigidity Kit before being refinished in red PPG two-stage enamel. The rigidity kit included braces at the front, rear, and between the suspension mounts, and 1/8th inch reinforcement plates were added at several points where the kit mounts. Photos of the work in progress are provided in the image gallery. The factory impact bumpers were replaced with a set of Pre-L split bumperettes, and the car is equipped with a quad-outlet exhaust system. 17â?³ alloy wheels are from Marino Perna of Panteras East and evoke the factory Campagnolo items. They measure 8â?³ in width up front and 11â?³ out back and wear 235/40 and 335/35 Pirelli P Zero Asimmetrico tires. Braking is handled by four-piston Wilwood four-piston calipers paired with vented discs at all four corners.
