Description
This 1932 Ford highboy was built in the late-1990s by Brizio Street Rods of South San Francisco and features a steel roadster body. Brizio added tubular reinforcements to the 1932-style frame during the build, and Jack Hagemann fabricated the louvered aluminum hood panels. The car is also equipped with a dropped front axle, radius rods and ladder bars, front disc brakes, and aluminum wheels, as well as black Mercedes upholstery stitched by Sid Chavers. A 406ci Chevrolet small-block V8 with aluminum heads powers the wheels through a T56 six-speed manual transmission and Winters quick-change rear end. The three-piece aluminum hood with louvered side panels was built by Jack Hagemann, and the Vintique grille shell is fitted with a Dan Fink insert featuring a stock-style crank hole. The chassis features a slightly lengthened 108â?³ wheelbase and was built by Brizio using reproduction 1932 Ford rails and tubular reinforcements. The windshield has been chopped 3â?³ and is fitted with a single sideview mirror. King Bee 7â?³ headlights are mounted up front and pair with 1939 Ford taillights. An off-white Sid Chavers Bop Top with a removable rear window is included in the sale and pictured in the gallery. Polished 15Ã?5.
