Description
The truck has since undergone a custom refurbishment completed by Wheelerâ??s Speed Shop of Huntington Beach, California, featuring the addition of a four-speed automatic transmission, updated suspension components, a front disc brake conversion, and a Traction-Lok limited-slip differential. Additional modifications include 15â?³ wheels, updates to the interior, and more. The frame was also refinished, and a pair of wheeltubs sourced from a 1982 Fleetside were integrated into the wood-lined bed. Trim retains a period appearance, including the single-year-only 1957 grille design. The walk-around video above further shows the exterior. Staggered-width 15â?³ Budnik Famosa wheels were fitted in June 2018 with new Mickey Thompson radial tires measuring 26/10XR15 in the front and Mickey Thompson Sportsman SR tires measuring 28/12XR15 at the rear. TCI Engineering disc brakes are fitted up front. Suspension upgrades include a TCI Engineering Mustang II independent front suspension kit featuring chrome-plated upper and lower A-arms, drop spindles, and Alden coilover shocks, while the rear suspension is equipped with a TCI Engineering four-link setup with a Panhard bar. The body-colored cab features a gray color scheme on the bench seat, door panels, and headliner completed by Leonâ??s Upholstery in Hughson, California. Replacement carpeting is fitted over the dynamat-lined floors, and a Panasonic cassette unit is housed within the dash factory location.
