Description

The car is powered by a 248ci Fireball straight-eight paired with a three-speed manual transmission and features hydraulic power operation for the convertible top, the front bench seat, and the windows. Other equipment includes 15â?³ steel wheels, hubcaps and trim rings, front-fender Ventiports, rear fender skirts, and an AM radio. The car left the factory finished in Sequoia Cream and was stripped and refinished during the aforementioned refurbishment. Features include a Hydro-Lectric convertible top with a Haartz black canvas covering and a glass rear window as well as a side-hinged hood with a bombsight mascot. Additional exterior details include polished stainless-steel trim, Ventiport front fenders, rear fender skirts and stone guards, dual side mirrors, and replated chrome bumpers, the front of which is fitted with overriders and a grille guard. The cowl-mounted Hydro-Lectric pump has been retained but bypassed in favor of a replacement located in the trunk, and the chrome window trim displays pitting. Body-color 15â?³ steel wheels wearing branded hubcaps and polished trim rings are mounted with Sears bias-ply whitewall tires, and a worn spare is stowed in the trunk. Braking is provided by four-wheel hydraulic drums. The cabin was trimmed in yellow Connolly leather with black carpeting during the refurbishment and features bench seats. The front seat is hydraulically adjustable, and additional amenities include hydraulically operated power windows, a locking glovebox, dual hood releases, and a tube-type push-button AM radio.
