1989 Chevrolet Corvette Callaway Twin Turbo Convertible

This 1989 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was ordered through Courtesy Chevrolet of Runnemede, New Jersey and shipped new to Callaway Engineering in Connecticut, where it was modified with a Callaway Twin Turbo package for its 5. 7-liter V8 as well as a heavy-duty TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. Additional Callaway modifications include twin intercoolers, MicroFueler injection, and a revised cooling system. The car is finished in red over red leather and features a body-colored removable hardtop, a black soft top, power-adjustable seats, and a Delco-Bose cassette stereo. Bloomington Gold, Survivor, and Benchmark certifications were awarded in 2018. This car is number 53 of 68 Callaway-modified Corvettes produced for the 1989 model year, of which 25 were convertibles. The fiberglass body is finished in Bright Red (81U) with black moldings and features a matching removable hardtop as well as a black convertible soft top. Lighting includes pop-up headlamps as well as integrated fog lights. Dymag-Callaway alloy wheels wear factory-style 275/40R17 Goodyear Eagle tires with cracked sidewalls.
