Description
This 1989 Porsche 930 Turbo is a well-maintained example with 75k original miles and documented service history from new. 1989 is a significant model year, both as the final year for the 930 and the only year in which they were offered with the G50 5-speed manual transmission. The car is driven frequently and benefits from recently refreshed suspension, brake lines, ignition system, and new tires. We like that the seller made it clear that mileage will continue to rise as he drives it until it is sold.Sold new in Bedford, Ohio in December 1988, the car was imported into Canada by the previous owner about 11 years ago. The front fenders and hood were professionally resprayed in 2007 due to rock chips, and the seller says he thinks the the driverâ??s side rear fender was also resprayed. The windshield was replaced in 2007. The paint match is said to be excellent and a paint gauge was used to determine which areas were repainted.Cashmere Beige leather interior with supportive factory sport seats remains all original and is holding up very well with clean carpet, dash, and headliner. All gauges, lights, and switchgear work, and factory options include electrically adjustable sports seats, electric sliding sunroof, and shortened shift lever. Recent work included fitment of new front strut inserts, ball joints, sway bar and control arm bushings, camber plate bushings, new brake lines at all four corners, brake and transmission fluid flush, and a full alignment. The hood and engine lid struts are also new.About 500 miles ago the carâ??s standard OEM wheels were refinished prior to being wrapped with fresh Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires, and around the same time its ignition system was refreshed with new wires, plugs, coil, cap and rotor. Like most air-cooled Porsches, it leaks a small amount of oil but doesnâ??t burn anything significant and runs strong, the seller adding that brakes, steering, clutch, transmission and suspension are all equally sorted and that the car makes great power.
