1973 Alfa Romeo GTV

This 1973 Alfa Romeo GTV is a mildly modified example based on a west coast shell that was restored over the last two years and required minimal rust repair. This example was sold new in California and wound up in the Seattle area before being purchased and subsequently restored by the seller five years ago. The car is said to be an excellent street performer with tight handling thanks to upgraded suspension and Dunlop tires on Alfaholics wheels.This car was restored over the course of two years and completed last March. Originally smoke silver, the car now wears Glasurit Alfa Romeo code 501 red paint and the color change included the wheel wells, engine bay, and underbody. The seller says the paint was done to a very high standard.Wheels have been upgraded with GTA-style items by Alfaholics measuring 15â?³x7â?³, offering superior tire selection to 14s and good proportions on these cars. The only noted rust repair on the car was at the front of the driverâ??s floor pan near the water drainage area. Body rubber is all new, and the stainless steel trim has been polished and shows well.The car was taken to bare metal during the restoration as shown above. The deleted side markers give these Alfas a much cleaner look.The carâ??s interior shows well and has refurbished crack-free dash and center console. The wood rimmed steering wheel has been refinished, and the seating surfaces are new. Interestingly the carpets remain original, and the seller notes that they remain in very good condition.The headliner is new, but the dome light is not fitted. The seller is including the dome light should the next owner wish to fit it to the car.The engine and transmission were rebuilt by the previous owner about six years ago, and have completed 12k miles since the rebuild. The fuel lines and fuel pump are new, as are the transmission mount and center driveshaft support.The seller notes that the car drives well with no smoke or oil leaks, and a strong transmission. The clutch, clutch master and slave cylinders, and exhaust are new as well.New brakes are fitted, including calipers, master cylinder, and brake booster.
