Description
This 1967 Land Rover 109 is one of 811 Series IIA wagons produced for the North American Dollar Area (NADA) for 1967. From 1996 to 2001 the truck was restored by East Coast Rover Co. in Maine and was fitted with a fuel-injected 3. 9L V8, a five-speed manual transmission, and a dual-range transfer case for a 1993 Defender 110 NAS. Additional work performed from 1996 to 2001 included stripping the exterior and refinishing it in Marine Blue with a Limestone roof, refreshing the black interior, and replacing and galvanizing some hardware. Features include a replacement galvanized coil-sprung frame, a roof rack with a ladder, 16â?³ steel wheels, seating for nine, a Mansfield heater, a sound system with a CD changer, and an EFI data port in the cabin. The aluminum bodywork was stripped before it was epoxy primed and refinished in Marine Blue with a Limestone safari roof during the late 1990s. The drip rail reportedly was galvanized and reinstalled with hammer rivets, and a galvanized roof rack with a ladder has been installed. A pair of Thule crossbars is included in the sale. A new galvanized frame reportedly was used during the early 2000s refurbishment, and the truck is equipped with Bilstein shocks and power-assisted disc brakes.
