Description
This 1979 Porsche 911SC Coupe has been cosmetically modified and is powered by a 3. 2-liter flat-six from a 1984 Carrera paired to a 915 5-speed manual transaxle. The Carrera motor was then installed after it it received a top end rebuild, and suspension has been fitted with upgraded torsion bars, a strut brace, and Koni shocks. There is no sunroof, and the body has been fitted with fiberglass bumpers. The aftermarket deck lid has a mesh engine cover and ducktail spoiler. An RSR oil cooler is fitted in the front air dam, and the door handles have been drilled. LED headlights have also been installed. The gold 17â?³ Fuchs-style wheels wear Nitto NT01 DOT-compliant competition tires showing 5k miles of wear. The interior has been customized with a Wevo short shifter and MOMO Prototipo steering wheel. Heat, A/C, and speakers were deleted, though the radio remains in place. The door panels were replaced with RS-style items featuring fabric door pulls. The fuel gauge is inaccurate and does not register under 1/2 empty. Mounting points were located for the installation of a harness bar and 5 point harnesses. 81k miles are indicated on the odometer, though true mileage is unknown. The 3. 2-liter flat-six was sourced from a 1984 Carrera and installed in 2015 after a top end rebuild. The results of a recent leak down test are as follows: Cylinder 1 â?? 3%, 2 â?? 2%, 3 â?? 5%, 4 â?? 5%, 5 â?? 5%, 6 â?? 3%. The header and exhaust resonators can be seen in underside pics. Suspension modifications include larger torsion bars, a front strut brace, and Koni shocks. Pictures showing the car before and during the build are available in the gallery.
