Description

This 1965 Porsche 356C is a Karmann-bodied coupe that was completed on September 8, 1964 and was recently acquired by the selling dealer as a stalled refurbishment project. Power comes from a numbers-matching 1. 6-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle, and the car features custom bodywork that includes a shaved fuel filler, Pre A-style lower rocker panels, and modified grille openings. Various dents and uneven surfaces can be seen on the bodywork. The removed door handles are included in the sale. Ventilated chrome 15” wheels are wrapped in mismatched tires and show pitted and flaking chrome. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs. The cabin has been stripped and shows signs of previous metal work and repairs. The radio and ventilation system have been removed, though the locking glovebox and VDO analog clock have been retained. A black three-spoke steering wheel with a Porsche crest center cap sits ahead of a gray-painted metal dashboard housing VDO instrumentation that includes a 6k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and a combination gauge.
