1961 Chevrolet Corvette 283/270 4-Speed

The car is finished in white with over black vinyl upholstery, and power comes from a numbers-matching 283ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a black convertible top, 15? wheels with spinner-style covers, and a Wonderbar AM radio. The 1961 Corvette was restyled with updated rear fiberglass bodywork inspired by GM design chief Bill Mitchell’s XP-700 show car. A tear in the black soft top can be viewed in the gallery. The 15? body-color steel wheels feature polished covers with faux spinners and are mounted with 205/75 Coker Classic whitewall radial tires. A full-size spare wheel with a bias-ply tire is mounted under the trunk floor. The suspension features a solid rear axle, and braking is handled by four-wheel drums. The interior features bucket seats with black upholstery over matching carpeting and trim. Features include a push-button Wonderbar AM radio, an analog clock, a cigarette lighter, lap belts, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror.
