Description
This 1966 Lotus Cortina MK1 was used as a race car in Arizona and California from the early 1970s until the mid-2010s. It is powered by a replacement 1,558cc Lotus Twin-Cam four and equipped with a four-speed manual gearbox, limited-slip differential, Fuel Safe fuel cell, front strut tower brace, and 13â?³ Panasport wheels. The selling dealer acquired the car in early 2024 and subsequent service included changing the fluids, adjusting the carburetors, and replacing the brake master cylinder. The car is finished in white and green and the selling dealer notes that it was recently repainted. Close-up photos of the paint, trim, and badges can be found in the gallery. Silver 13â?³ Panasport wheels are mounted with 185/60 Avon Turbospeed CR28 tires, and a set of factory steel wheels and hubcaps are included. Service in preparation for the sale included replacing the brake master cylinder, bleeding the fluid, and adjusting the brake bias. The cabin is upholstered in black vinyl with matching carpets and features lap seatbelts, a three-spoke wood-rim steering wheel, and a wood shift knob. The heater controls are disconnected. Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, a 6,500-rpm-redline tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, voltage, and fuel level.
