Description

This 1962 Lotus Super Seven Series 2 is a CVAR/VARA logbooked, road legal racer that has appeared at the Monterey Motorsports Reunion. Powered by a 1500cc non-crossflow Cosworth engine, this car is equipped with a fire suppression system, roll cage, foam-filled racing tank, and includes a selection of spares. A set of unpainted Wobbly Web wheels are from Mike Brotherwood in the UK and a set of yellow painted Revolution wheels is also included. British Racing Green paintwork is shown from several angles and the car is fitted with full lighting for street use. The grey painted roll cage is welded in. Seating has been upholstered in red vinyl with white piping, and the cabin sides and dash are upholstered to match. Seatbelts are out of date for racing. This 900lb racer is powered by a balanced Cosworth pre-crosflow 1500cc breathing through twin Weber 40 DCOEs. The engine is backed by a 4-speed semi-close ratio box and a 4. 11:1 rear axle. A selection of invoices covering the last decade is attached in the gallery. In the past two years it has received new wheels, track rod ends, U-joints, and sway bar bushings. Braking power comes from discs at the front and drums at the rear. Coilovers are fitted front and rear. Safety equipment includes the welded-in roll hoop, foam filled racing fuel tank, fire system, and electrical cutout. Two spare noses, a set of revolution wheels, and a full height windshield with wipers are all included.
