Description
Work during the build included assembling the air-cooled dual-port flat-four, straightening the bodywork, applying a Harlequin- and Grateful Dead-themed vinyl wrap, and retrimming the rear cabin. The bus is equipped with a pop-up roof tent, dual carburetors, a four-speed manual transaxle, drum brakes, 15â?³ EMPI alloy wheels, jalousie windows, a sleeping loft, a refrigerator, privacy curtains, ambient lighting, shag wall coverings, grass-style carpets, and a shore-power connection port. The bodywork was straightened and primed before applying a multi-color Harlequin-themed vinyl wrap with Chinatown Market and Grateful Dead graphics. The bus is equipped with a rear-hinged Westfalia pop-up roof tent, a Danchel Outdoor awning, dual side mirrors, jalousie windows, a sliding side door, and a shore-power connection port. The front and rear bumpers are removed and close-up photos presented in the gallery show cracks on the window seals and a dent in the left quarter panel. Polished 15â?³ EMPI alloy wheels are mounted with mismatched tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums. The right rear wheel center cap is missing. The brake master cylinder was replaced, and the brakes were adjusted in 2023The forward cabin houses bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl that extends to the door panels. A black rubber mat lines the floor and additional appointments include crank windows, three-point seatbelts, a Grateful Dead shift knob, and a Pioneer CD stereo.
