1957 Chevrolet Corvette

car runs and drives fine, car was sitting for many many years in a garage in California. We cleaned the tank, put a new fuel pump, checked the brakes, did the maintenance, car has older tires, strong motor and transmission. Headlights work, all gauges work except the clock. Car has very nice body lines. Nice paint, nice interior. Very solid car. The owner who has passed some years ago left this to his wife whom is still with us but unable to deal with the sale of this car. The decision to sell the car did not come easily for the family but they needed to sell the car for this wife care. The owner "Dad" was smitten when the 1953 Corvette was introduced and through his family we were told he said "One day I am going to have one of those". They married in 1956 and he saved every extra penny for his dream car. In 1957 he found a job at the Van Nuys GM Plant where he made friends with a new Corvette owner who had recently purchased this car. The story continues that the owner had the car for about 6 months and decided it was too much for him so he let it go for "Take Over The Payments". A dream come true, the car was used for outings to Sequoia, the beach and camping trips until 1959 when the family started arriving. Then the Corvette was a daily driver to and from work, for errands and more dates with Mom. This car never left the State of California and most of its life was spent indoors in Northridge and Reseda. Moving ahead Dad became ill in 2004 and passed 4 years later. Car is a very nice car but like any 65 year old car the car isnt perfect.
