Restoration work was performed in 2018; the cab was removed from the frame and refinished, the bed was renewed with a wood floor, whitewall tires were mounted on the body-color steel wheels, and the 228ci inline-six and four-speed manual transmission were rebuilt. A Bluetooth-capable stereo, 12-volt conversion, and replacement gauges were also installed. The five-window cab was removed from the frame and refinished, and the chrome trim was re-plated.
