1960 Mercedes-Benz 190SL

The interior was professionally refurbished in its original red leather two years ago. The car recently underwent a $37k major service that included a refurbishment of the cylinder head and valves, cleaning and rebuilding of the carburetors, new fuel pump, new timing chain, and brake components. Introduced in 1955 as more affordable option to the companyâ??s exclusive 300SL, the 190SL incorporated several styling, detailing, and engineering features of the bigger SL, including fully independent suspension. The soft top was replaced in 2014, and a color matched factory hardtop is also included as shown in the gallery. The interior was professionally restored in its original red leather two years ago. It has held up well along with matching door panels and square weave carpeting. The original Becker radio is still present and fully functional, though one of the speakers requires replacement. The factory wind up clock has been replaced with an electronic reproduction unit. The 1. 9-liter M121 SOHC inline-four produced 104 horsepower when new and and is mated to a 4-speed synchronized manual gearbox.
