Description

This 1956 Dodge Royal Custom Suburban D-500 two-door station wagon was delivered new to Wills-Schmidt Motors of Kirkland, Washington, and it is powered by a 315ci V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Finished in orange and gray with a tan roof over patterned cloth upholstery, the car is equipped with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an aftermarket tachometer, dual exhaust, wheel covers, and whitewall tires. Paint code 271 found on the vehicleâ??s trim tag corresponds with a Sapphire White roof, Iridescent Charcoal Poly side sections, and Oriental Coral lower areas. Features include checkered-flag D-500 badges, dual exhaust outlets, dual side mirrors, chrome tail fins, and chrome bumpers and trim. Bubbling paint and rust are visible at the bottoms of both doors and along the passenger-side rocker panel. Black-painted 15â?³ steel wheels wear styled covers and are wrapped in whitewall tires. Braking is handled by unassisted four-wheel drums. Patterned cloth upholsters the seating surfaces of the two rows of benches. The interior also features black and white trim, chrome accents, black carpeting, a heater, and an AM radio. Some photos in the gallery depict a now-removed aftermarket radio mounted beneath the dashboard.
