Description
It was subsequently fitted with a 3. 0-liter V6 from a Milano Verde that had been set up for Showroom Stock racing with Sperry Valve Works Stage II cylinder heads and reground camshafts. The engine is paired with a Milano Platinum five-speed manual transaxle, and the car was refinished in silver in 2017. It features a welded six-point roll cage and black vinyl upholstery over two-place seating with five-point harnesses as well as power-assisted disc brakes, 16â?³ wheels, Koni Yellow shocks, Super Sport torsion bars, a three-core aluminum radiator, a MOMO steering wheel, and a JVC head unit linked to replacement speakers. Introduced to the North American market in 1981, the GTV6 was derived from the Alfetta coupe designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro. The side markers and lower cladding were also removed in 2017, with the holes for the cladding welded in. The C-pillar rain rutter has been removed, the stock bumpers collapsed, and the front fender seams and high-beam headlights eliminated. The 16â?³ wheels are mounted with 225/45 Toyo Proxes R1R tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted ventilated front and inboard-mounted rear discs. The car rides lower than stock up front, with suspension modifications reportedly including a stiffer front sway bar with reinforced mounts as well as rear sport springs, a stiffer rear sway bar, and Koni Yellow shocks all around.
