Description

This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a 355ci V8 that was built by John Lingenfelter Racing in 1985 and is mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Finished in maroon over black, the car features additional modifications including Cragar wheels, a Griffin aluminum radiator, and a Hurst shifter. Exterior features include a color-matched removable hardtop, split front and rear chrome bumpers, and bright rocker-panel trim. Staggered-width 15? Cragar SS wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich Comp T/A tires measuring 205/65 up front and 235/60 at the rear. The interior is trimmed in black vinyl with a matching dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include an AM radio and a Hurst T-handle shifter, and a fire extinguisher is mounted in the passenger footwell. A wrapped three-spoke steering wheel fronts factory instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The build included four-bolt mains, a Comp Cams camshaft, roller rocker arms, TRW steel valves and forged pistons, a roller timing chain, a Hayes flywheel, and more. A Griffin aluminum radiator has replaced the factory unit, and the car had an oil change and an inspection in summer 2020. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
