1967 Shelby GT500 ReCreation This 1967 GT 500 Recreation is very close to how the real Shelbys were built. Using actual Shelby factory parts, not reproductions. The deck lid, teak wood steering wheel, roll bar, inertia reels and Y belt shoulder harnesses and the grill are all original Shelby pieces. This was an original big block car, built with a 390. It was swapped out for a 428 FE that was balanced and blueprinted with factory 428 Cobra Jet heads. A rebuilt Top Loader 4 speed with Hurst Shifter, shifts you through the gears with ease! A 12 inch clutch plate is concealed inside the Lakewood scattershield. A Ford 9" Trac-Loc rear end makes sure that power and torque get to the wheels. And the wheels on this GT 500 are Kelsey-Hayes 15" Mag Stars. It also features the Kelsey-Hayes power front disc brake set up. With power steering and a Vintage Air a/c system, this car is perfect to drive any time of the year.
