Description

This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette coupe was purchased in 2018 by the Hollywood Car Company for use in the 2019 film Ford v Ferrari. This particular Corvette reportedly was one of two C2 coupes used in racing scenes; it was first painted blue and outfitted with a Washburn Chevrolet/Bob Bondurant livery for the Willow Springs scenes, and then it was repainted red with a Roger Penske Chevrolet livery for the 24 Hours of Daytona scenes. The car retains its red Penske livery and is powered by a replacement 350ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The car also features front disc brakes, a 12-gallon fuel cell, and four-point seatbelts. The car is currently finished in red with a Roger Penske Chevrolet livery that was applied during production of Ford v Ferrari. Front and rear bumpers and brackets used for filming have been removed but are included in the sale. Lights, turn signals, and windshield wipers are reported to be functional. Bronze-colored 15â?³ five-spoke wheels with polished lips are wrapped in 215/60 Avon CR6ZZ tires. The studio reportedly replaced the front disc brakes, rear drums, and master cylinder prior to filming. The interior is upholstered in black vinyl and includes four-point Simpson racing belts and shoulder harnesses.
