Equipment includes a four-speed manual gearbox, FiTech fuel injection, an Edelbrock intake manifold, Edelbrock valve covers, a serpentine drive-belt system, PerTronix electronic ignition, a custom dual exhaust system, a limited-slip rear end, American Racing 15â?³ wheels, front disc brakes, power steering, a luggage rack, black vinyl and cloth upholstery, a tilting steering column, and a Kenwood CD stereo. AMC built 8,293 copies of the Javelin-based AMX two-seater for 1969. Features include a luggage rack, chrome bumpers, a remote-adjustable driver-side mirror, and 390 badging. Chrome-finished American Racing 15â?³ wheels are mounted with 225/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and the car also has power steering and a front anti-roll bar. The cabin features reclining bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl with black cloth inserts. Appointments include woodgrain interior trim, a Weather Eye heater, a Kenwood CD stereo, and black floor mats. The headliner has been re-covered, and the carpeting in the interior and the trunk compartment has been replaced. The three-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket wrap and is attached to a tilting column. Hooded instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level; a Mallory Ignition oil-pressure gauge has been added.
