Description

The carâ??s bodywork is straight and solid. The engine bay is extremely tidy. Note: the car has no bumpers and only a driver-side windshield wiper. The cargo area is in almost immaculate condition. It rolls on Cooper Zeon ZPT radials, size 205/40R17 in front and Kumho Ecstasy radials in the back, size 255/55R18. Each tire is mounted on a Billet Specialty alloy wheel. All wheels and tire are in very good order. Under the hood is a fresh GM 502 CID crate big-block V-8 engine breathing via dual rear center exhausts. It makes 461 horsepower and nearly 500 lbs-ft of its total torque at only 1,500 rpm and has a 8.75:1 compression ratio. Backing this engine is a Turbo Hydramatic 400 three-speed automatic transmission. Driver convenience features include air-conditioning, a tilt steering column and power seats. Open the coach (rear-hinged) door to find black leather interior ready to greet you. The black buckets are in excellent order, as is the matching carpet. The headliner is in similar shape and thereâ??s a three-spoke aftermarket steering wheel that tilts. The dash and inner door liners look great. The floor-mounted shift lever is topped by a skull for a touch of whimsy. The modern audio system is connected to a trunk-mounted Orion 2150 SX 300-watt amplifier. Documentation includes a folder of invoices and parts receipts, etc. When the Model 40 and the new B were introduced February 9, 1933, revisions of the car were substantial, especially considering how important the 1932 change had been. For its second year, the wheelbase was stretched, from 106 to 112 inches on a new crossmember frame. The grille was revised, gaining a pointed forward slope at the bottom which resembled either a spade, a Medieval shield, or possibly the 1932 Packard Light Eight in general outline, anyway. Both the grille and hood louvers curved down and forward. The overall design and grille were inspired by the English Ford Model Y. Streamlining was further accentuated by the new hood which now covered the cowl, giving an impression of more length
