Year: 1950s Make: Allard Model:P1 The car subsequently underwent refurbishment work including a repaint in two-tone gray and blue, and it has been on display at the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum since the mid-2000s. It is powered by a 221ci Ford flathead V8 paired with a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes 16â?³ steel wheels, drum brakes, driving lamps, trafficators, and rear-hinged doors. Inside, bench seating re-trimmed in red leather is accompanied by a Bluemelâ??s Brooklands steering wheel and Smiths instrumentation. Sydney Allard began his company by building lightweight pre-war specials with American V8 powerplants, competing at Le Mans and winning the Monte Carlo Rally with a P1 saloon in 1952.
