Description
Year: 1950s Make: Studebaker Model:President The car is finished in pink and gray with a white roof over white leather upholstery, and power comes from a 259ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include a four-barrel carburetor, a dual exhaust system, power-assisted steering and drum brakes, 15â? wheels with wire-spoke covers and whitewall tires, yellow-lens fog lights, an engine-turned dash panel, and an AM radio. The Speedster trim was added to the President State model lineup partway through the 1955 model year. Available exclusively as a pillarless hardtop, its base price of $3,253 made it the most expensive offering from the brand that year. Paint bubbles and touched-up chips on the left fender can be seen in the gallery. Body-color 15â?³ steel wheels wear chrome wire covers, and they are mounted with 215/75 American Classic whitewall radial tires. A full-size spare wheel is stowed under a cover in the trunk. Power steering and power-assisted drum brakes were standard equipment on the Speedster. The seats are trimmed in white leather and are complemented by gray door panels and black carpeting. An engine-turned metal panel accents the dashboard and houses an analog clock as well as a push-button AM radio.
